American Express card support rolling out to Google Wallet for Fitbit
Google Wallet for Fitbit adds support for American Express cards. As Fitbit Pay is shutting down next month, users made a switch to the Google Wallet app. However, Fitbit users observed that the Google Wallet lacks support for American Express cards.
Addressing the concern, Google rolled out Americal Express card support to Wallet for Fitbit with Play Services version 24.25. The update extends Wallet updates to Android devices, with Google stating new features have arrived for users adding an ID to their digital wallet.
Shoppers using Google Wallet for Android will have Pix as support as an alternative payment method. Users receive support for adding an e-wallet as a payment method through Google Wallet. Rather, Wallet users can use a paired e-wallet in Google Pay to complete a transaction.
Similar to other Google services, the Wallet app is extending support in different batches. You may not have immediately got the update. However, we recommend you keep your phones’ software and apps updated to the latest version.
