Google releases Android 14 July 2024 patch to Pixel phones

Android 14 July 2024 security patch starts rolling out to Google Pixel phones. The confirmation came from Verizon, while the phone maker has not yet published the details.

According to Verizon, the Android 14 July 2024 patch for Google Pixel phones brings general improvements for Camera stability. For the Pixel 8 series, the release also includes general improvements for system stability.

Earlier, Google revealed Android security patch details for July 2024. The software addresses 10 security issues in the patch dated July 1st, 2024, and 19 in the patch dated July 5th, 2024.

July patch comes carries version .005 for the Pixel 8 series and .004 for all the other models. It indicates that the software contains additional stuff for the company’s latest smartphone lineup.

Your Pixel phone will notify you about the latest firmware update, as soon as it arrives. However, you can manually check for it through Settings > System > Software updates > System update.
