Samsung’s Android 15 and One UI 7 development progressed to a major milestone. Weeks after firmware testing, the Galaxy S24 Plus Exynos variant benchmarked with Android 15 and One UI 7. It suggests that the Public Beta Program is not too far from consumers now.

Galaxy S24 Plus (Exynos) with Android 15

Someone having a Galaxy S24 Plus running Android 15 tested the device on Geekbench. The benchmark entry, recorded earlier this month, revealed new performance scores. Running the initial build, the device scored 2114 and 6616 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

Galaxy S24 Plus (Exynos) with Android 14

Samsung’s S24 Plus running the One UI 6 scores 2085 and 6693 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. It shows that the new build improved the single-core score, but lags behind in multi-core performance tests.

Despite this slight difference, it’s worth noting that the internal build is bringing performance improvements. It’s going to be the first major upgrade for the flagship. Consumers can expect fruitful performance enhancements besides new features and refinements.

When it’s coming

Samsung will officially unveil the One UI 7 on October 3rd, 2024. After the unveiling, the rollout may kickstart in late October, starting with flagship devices. We guess the Galaxy S24 series as well as Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 will be the first to get the upgrade.

Talking about the Beta activity, it’s expected to start in August this year. Two days later, Samsung will hold its Unpacked event to launch many new products. One UI 6.1.1 will also be detailed that is said to include new and useful AI-derived features.
