We now have some exciting news for Samsung Galaxy users. Some of the latest features from the new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 are becoming available on older Galaxy phones and tablets, according to Sammy Fans. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect:

The Galaxy Z Flip5 will get smoother zooming and a special mode for recording videos while the phone is folded (Flex Camcorder). The Galaxy Z Fold5, Flip5, S23 series, and Tab S9 series will be able to capture slow-motion videos and share them instantly without saving large files (Instant Slowmo).

Many Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S22, S23, S24, FE, Z Fold 4/5, Z Flip 4/5, and Tab S8/S9, will gain access to Portrait Studio (fancy portrait effects), Sketch to Image (turn photos into sketches or vice versa), and a Live Effect tool that adds depth and brings photos to life.

The eligible smartphone users will be able to easily make GIFs with Motion Clipper and translate text into pictures while keeping the background intact with the overlay translation tool. You can also edit photos in a special format (DNG) used by professional cameras.

Samsung hasn’t announced the exact release date for this update yet. Not all features will be available on all devices. For example, Astro Portrait (taking pictures of stars with people) will likely be exclusive to the Galaxy S23 and S24 series.
