In Gmail for Android, a new “Quick Reply” feature has been rolled out. This allows users to respond directly at the bottom of an email thread, without needing to switch to a full-screen view. Previously, replying to an email required you to choose from “Reply,” “Reply all,” or “Forward,” which then opened a separate screen for composing your message. The new method simplifies the process, particularly for short, straightforward replies. For more detailed responses, users can expand the text field to access additional formatting options. While this feature is currently available on Android, iOS users will have to wait until later this year.
On the Chrome front, version 128 for Android introduces a small but notable enhancement. When you pull down to refresh a webpage, your device will now give a subtle vibration, providing haptic feedback to acknowledge the action. This vibration only occurs when using the pull-to-refresh gesture and does not activate when refreshing through the three-dot menu.
The vibration accompanies the existing visual cues of a spinner and loading bar beneath the address bar. This update is currently rolling out to Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices via the Play Store, though it may take some time before it’s available to all users.
