Google is making it easier to protect your phone from hackers.

Google is working on a new feature for Android 16 that will make it even harder for hackers to steal your information. This feature is called Advanced Protection Mode.

What is Advanced Protection Mode? It’s like a super shield for your phone. It blocks harmful apps and makes it harder for hackers to access your Google account.

How does it work?

  • It blocks bad apps: You can only install apps from the Google Play Store. This means you’re less likely to install apps containing malware or other harmful code.
  • It uses extra security: It adds more layers of protection to keep your data safe. For example, you must use a security key or pass key to sign in to your Google account. This makes it much harder for hackers to gain access to your account, even if they know your password.

When is it coming? Google is expected to release Android 16 early next year. So, you might be able to try out this new security feature soon.
