Why your Google Play Store keeps stopping on Android

Published

on

If you’ve been using an Android device recently, you might have seen a message saying “Google Play Store keeps stopping.” This issue has popped up over the last day.

This kind of error message typically shows up when apps on your Android device crash. But from what we can see, the Google Play Store is functioning normally. You can still look for apps, download them, or update them without any problem, even with the message popping up.

We’ve noticed this message appearing several times in the last day, but it doesn’t seem to be caused by anything specific you do. It could be that something in the background related to the Play Store is not working right.

This issue has been seen on both Android phones and tablets. For instance, on our Pixel Tablet, the “keeps stopping” message blocks the clock in Hub Mode. It showed up twice within an hour. On phones, though, it’s not too bothersome.

There’s no clear solution to this problem right now, but hopefully, Google will sort it out with an update from their servers soon.
