Google Calendar Update: Now see who can view your shared events
Google Calendar has introduced a handy update for shared calendars that makes managing who can see your events much simpler.
When you set up a shared calendar, you can choose different levels of access for each person. One option allows people to “Make changes to events.” However, there was a small problem with this setting: if someone used this permission to create an event, they couldn’t see who else had access to that event.
This might not seem like a big deal, but it could be quite annoying for those who share calendars with many people. Google has now fixed this issue. If you have permission to “Make changes to events,” you’ll be able to see everyone who has access to the calendar where your event is posted.
Google describes the update like this:
“To make things easier and keep everyone in the loop about who can see shared content, those who can ‘Make changes to events’ can now check who else is on the shared calendar.”
This change is being rolled out now, but it might take up to 15 days for everyone to see it on their Google Calendar. This update ensures that managing shared events is more transparent and user-friendly, helping everyone stay organized and informed.
