Google Photos memories might look cleaner soon
If you have an Android phone, chances are you’re using Google Photos. If you haven’t tried it, you should! It’s one of the best Google apps for managing and storing your pictures. Not only does it work as a simple gallery for your photos, but it also backs them up to the cloud and even brings back old memories for you to enjoy. Now, Google is about to make those memories even more special with a new, cleaner look.
In the latest version of Google Photos, version 7.17.0.725321504, they’ve updated the Memories section. It now has a full-screen view that makes everything look neater and more engaging. We’ve had a sneak peek at this new design, and it’s quite a change:
The way you interact with the photos hasn’t changed much, but there’s a small difference. Now, to see options like favoriting a photo or checking the date, you need to press and hold on the image. Before, these options were always there at the bottom of the screen. This change gives you a more uninterrupted view of your memories, which might be a small tweak but could make a big difference in how you experience your photo collection.
