Gemini Advanced now remembers your past conversations
Google has just launched a new feature for Gemini Advanced users that allows the app to remember and use information from your previous chats. Now, when you start a new conversation, you don’t need to begin from the very beginning or sift through old messages in the app’s history. Instead, Gemini can give you a quick summary of past discussions, answer follow-up questions on topics you’ve already talked about, and help you continue working on projects you’ve started before.
This feature means Gemini can now tailor its responses by pulling in details from your past chats. When Gemini uses information from your previous conversations, it might even mention where it got the info from, making your interactions more relevant and personalized.
This update enhances the existing ‘Saved info’ feature Google introduced earlier, which lets you set preferences like avoiding meat recipes if you’re vegetarian or preferring code in JavaScript. Currently, this conversation recall is available in English for those who have subscribed to Gemini Advanced through Google One AI Premium. You can use it both on the web and on the mobile app. In the coming weeks, Google plans to add support for more languages and extend this feature to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise users.
