New Android Auto updates cause wireless issues for some users

Recent changes to Android Auto have left some drivers unable to use its wireless feature, and there’s no quick solution yet. Over the past couple of weeks, people have shared complaints on Google’s help forums about wireless Android Auto suddenly stopping. This seems to connect, at least a little, to the v13.4 and v13.5 updates released in late January and early February. These updates have caused trouble for certain phones or cars, though not everyone is affected.

So far, the problem isn’t super common. It’s more like a small warning sign that something might be wrong. Drivers say Android Auto won’t link up wirelessly, but it still works fine with a USB cable plugged in. Restarting the phone or car system helps some people for a short time, but no solid fix exists yet.

Google hasn’t officially said anything about these glitches. Still, they’ll probably send out repairs in upcoming updates. Android Auto v13.8 is currently available for beta testers, while versions 13.6 and 13.7 are out for regular users. If you’re having trouble, it’s a good idea to visit the Play Store and look for any new Android Auto updates. This issue shows how updates can sometimes bring unexpected hiccups. For now, affected drivers might need to stick with a cable or wait for Google to smooth things out. Keep an eye on your app updates to stay in the loop!
